In last week’s episode, Emily’s friends become concerned for her welfare as she combs through the ruins of her life.
In this week’s episode, called ‘Plea’ , Emily works to clear her name while Margaux tries to keep her name dirty.
As the final battle draws nearer, the characters on the show pick which side they are on and get ready to wage war. That is, everyone but Louise. She continues to flip flop unable to make up her mind.
Ben is still upset about his feelings being hurt and it clouds his judgment. It’s not the end of the show that his decision is made for him.
Emily is able to figure out how Victoria framed her for her murder. With a little help from Jack and Nolan, she is able to have a little ‘chat’ with Margaux about her involvement in helping Victoria. Here’s what they did:
1. Find a body that they can put in the fire. A body that no one will miss
2. Switch the dental records with said body with Victoria’s so that it would be identified as her body
3. Plant evidence on the body (the ring)
4. Plant evidence at her apartment of a struggle. Victoria smeared some of her blood on the walls
5. Mason help plant evidence in Emily’s car and make a suicide note that looks like it could have been forged
Victoria did an impeccable job, much better then Emily’s attempt to fake her death. But Victoria forgot one important fact. Emily is smarter than her. Yes, there are times when Victoria wins battles, but we all know it’s going to be Emily that wins the war.
The End is Near
With the series finale next week, you know that the show is going to go out guns blazing and eveyrone’s lives are going to be on the chopping block. This week, the show essentially killed out two of their characters.
The first to go is Ben Hunter. He meets his fate after discovering that Emily is telling the truth and that Victoria is in fact alive. But he doesn’t live long to tell the tale as Margaux’s hired hit man (Courtney Love) who stabs him in the back. This is a bit ironic considering it was Louise that accidentally ratted Margaux out to Ben.
The second person who looks like he’s about to meet his fate is David Clarke. His cancer is getting worse and he’s at the point where he wants to give up. Of course, Emily doesn’t want to (because she just got her father back AND she’s in jail and is helpless to be with him). Odds are not in his favor as he looks like he might be a casualty by the next show.
The final show is called Two Graves so it’s pretty certain that two people are going to die next week. But the question is, who?
In the final episode of the series, Emily and Victoria face off as their final battle may lead to casualties to those they care about.
