‘Law and Order: SVU’ 16×22 – A kidnapping with an unexpected twist

In the last episode, A woman wants to recant her testimony in an incest case from when she was a child.

In this week’s show, titled “Parent’s Nightmare”, SVU investigate a kidnapping of a little boy who the mother may be involved in.

Worst Nightmare
A young boy, named Owen, gets taken from the playground right under the teacher’s nose. He played right in to the fact that the teacher was stretched too thin. Something that probably happens more often then it should.

The mother, Dana, is a little out there in left field and it makes it hard for SVU to make a case. But at least she can ID the man. But that may be all a set up as the kidnapper, Javier, says that Dana is the one that set the whole thing up. Money motivated? Likely.

Don’t Judge a Book by it’s Cover
Benson gets an unpleasant surprise as she learns that maybe the mother is not as innocent as she is made out to be. She can’t seem to understand how a mother would want to use her son like she did. She tries to fight the idea, but the evidence doesn’t lie.

Or could it be a set up by Owen’s father, Sam?

Carisi and Benson talk with Owen knowing that he will be able to give them some truth on what is going on with Dana and Sam. She is going to have to prove her innocence.

Turns out that Sam set the whole thing up to try and protect him from Dana and her forgetful mind.

Not Up to Snuff
Benson learns that she might lose her command at SVU unless she files for Lieutenant exam. On top of that, she has to pick a second. Looks like Finn is going to get a little promotion.

In the next episode, Johnny D is on trial and is looking to get his rights back for Noah, and Benson will do anything to stop that from happening.
