I should start off by saying that this is a fluff book that is perfect for a rainy day or when on vacation. This is ok because it’s a fun read but it’s not filled with twists that will have you screaming at the book.

I really liked the interaction that Mia had with her two friends. It was a nice change of pace to see that the heroine had female friends and wasn’t either friendless or only had guy friends. The way that they talked with one another was hilarious and the bad news is that we don’t see nearly enough for it.

Mia is someone who never took any risks and always did what was expected her. I for one could feel a connection to her (which I’m sure a lot of us could) because we all have that time in our lives when we did what was expected of us rather then taking a risk and seeing what happens. Sure the situation in which Mia and Ansel meet and connect isn’t ideal, but it is certainly something that could happen to anyone. There have been ‘horror’ stories of people getting married and then being stuck with figuring out what to do next.

Ansel scored points for me right off the bat because when I heard his name I immediately saw Ansel Elgort. And as the story progressed I saw more and more of Elgort for the character in the book. Ansel is sweet, shy, and a little impulsive but when he commits to something he goes 110% which is completely swoon worthy.

The book was pretty much all about the sex scenes with Ansel and Mia and all the different roles they can play. They were hot and scorching at times, don’t get me wrong, but after a while it got redundant because it was on almost every other page. The book really shines when we dive deeper into their characters, something i had expected from Lauren because she did a great job at mixing character development/story with romance.
