Prim and Katniss will make you cry in new ‘Mockingjay pt 2’ trailer

It’s a big day for news from the Mockingjay front. But the biggest comes from the latest trailer that comes Lionsgate. It’s a two minute, forty five second trailer that reminds us where the whole rebellion begin. We start from the beginning of The Hunger Games and work our way through Catching Fire and the first part of Mockingjay. The story starts with Katniss volunteering as tribute for her sister, Prim, who was selected as the most unlikely candidate. Since then, it’s snowballed (pun intended) from there. The trailer ends with Katniss and Prim dancing as they tell each other that they love each other.

And cue the waterworks.

The trailer is not the only thing that was released, but also a new movie poster that sparks (yes another pun intended) emotion. It has Katniss looking forward in her war gear with a Mockingjay on her shoulder. The tag line reads ‘A creature as unquenchable as the sun’. The creature is obviously Katniss as she refuses to back down from the rebellion until Snow is taken down. That would be the reference to unquenchable. If you’ve read the book, you will know that this line is straight out of the book.

The best news though to come from Lionsgate today is the news about the pre-order of tickets. Because that November release date is right around the corner. The tickets will go on sale October 1st and if you purchase your ticket in the first 24 hours, you will get a special downloaded edition of the first part of the movie. Lionsgate and Fandango didn’t state whether or not they would have a marathon like they did for the last three movies, but it’s highly likely. We will likely find that out come October 1st when the tickets go on sale.

The trailer is likely to be shown before the Scorch Trials on Friday. The final movie of the worldwide phenomenon is set to come out November 20th. Make sure to buy your tickets on October 1st because this movie is likely to sell out quickly.

What do you think of the news?
