Fans of the Obsidian series by Jennifer Armentrout are going to melt when they see the new cover and the news for the companion novel for the series. The cover was first revealed across some of the bloggers that follows her as they released puzzle pieces from the cover until it was all revealed. Once it was, the official news came out on her Facebook page.
Oblivion is going to take us through the story (well at least some of it) from Daemon’s point of view. There is going to be two versions. The print story is only going to have the first story, Obsidian, from Daemon’s point of view. If you buy the electronic version, you not only get the first book, but also the second and third book (Onyx and Opal). This is going to be excited to read.
The official blurb for the books was released on the website. You can read it below:
I knew the moment Katy Swartz moved in next door, there was going to be trouble. Lots of it.
And trouble’s the last thing I need, since I’m not exactly from around here. My people arrived on Earth from Lux, a planet thirteen billion light years away. Plus, if there’s one thing I know, it’s that humans can’t be trusted. We scare them. We can do things they only dream about, and honestly, we make them look weak as hell. ‘Cuz they are.
But Kat is getting to me in ways no one else has, and I can’t stop myself from wanting her—or wanting to use my powers to protect her. She makes me weak, and I’m the strongest of our kind, tasked with protecting us all. So this one simple girl…she can mean the end for us. Because the Luxen have an even bigger enemy—the Arum, and I need to stay on my game.
Falling for Katy—a human—won’t just place her in danger. It could get us all killed, and that’s one thing I’ll never let happen…
There is a warning that comes with this book. It’s going to be quite a large one (with Daemon it’s to be expected) and it will be like reading the whole series over again. Oblivion is a companion novel and doesn’t need to be read after the rest of the series. It is set to come out December 1st and is available for preorder by going to her website.
