In the last episode, Benson once again finds herself in a sticky situation as a couple takes a family and now her hostage and she must do some quick thinking to get out of there alive. Three people are the ones that are holding the family hostage and demand to know where the money and expensive jewelry is. In this week’s episode, titled ‘A Misunderstanding’, it’s a he-said-she-said but with two teens. The question will be who is telling the truth and what really happened that night. Meanwhile, Benson is forced to confront what happened in the last episode.
With what happened in the last episode, Benson is rethinking her commitment to SVU. Does this mean that Benson could be leaving? Or is she going to be the one who is going to stay until the job takes her life too.
Two teens, Abby and Chris, in high school are getting REAL close. The boy is a senior in high school who is interested in the underclassman who is flattered by the attention. He tries to push it but she doesn’t seem to want it but, could she have invited him? Because of course we don’t get to see what happened. We will have to watch along and try and figure out who was right and who was wrong or if this is just one of those gray episodes where there is no right or wrong.
Benson is a little reluctant to try the case considering how the details of the case unfold, but she is not one to turn away from what could be a case. It makes things difficult when both kids seem nice and when they tell both sides the story turns fifty shades of gray.
As the investigation begins, the parents for both kids take over and while you understand where they are coming from but they create more of an uproar and a bigger problem for both of the kids involved. Let’s see the crap storm become a crap hurricane.
During the trial, the parents start to lose control as they both want the other kid to suffer for what happened. When Abby gets cross examined, she doesn’t seem as confident as she was at the beginning and this makes it hard for a conviction comes through. And alas, that is what happened. Chris gets found not guilty for everything but sexual misconduct which means he goes on the registry and his life is pretty much going to be a change for the worst.
In the next episode, the unit look into an assault with many witness who all claim that they didn’t see anything.
