In the fourth book of the series we continue on with the journey of Erica and Blake as they prepare for their nuptials but can’t seem to catch a break as Blake’s secrets threaten to tear down what they are building.

It is exciting to see Blake and Erica get ready for their wedding. We have been waiting for this day ever since the first book and this book finally gets us to the promised land. We start to see the softer side of Blake as he imagines what life might be like without Erica. Erica begins to see into his past and sees that maybe it’s best to leaves things in the past.

It is quite possible that this series has hit a wall. At least it seems that way since the second book. The third book, I had thought maybe it was just a buildup to a bigger finale, but the way that this book went, it’s not looking that way. I had high hopes for this series because it kept being recommended to me to read, but I held off until the whole series came out. At this rate, I am not sure that I am going to like where it ends up.

I think the thing that bothers me the most is that everywhere you turn, there is someone out to get Erica. When you finally think that someone might be ok, next chapter, they are stabbing her in the back. at this point, it feels like a broken record and I am not sure if it’s going to get much better in the final book. I hope that there is more to series in the final book or else it’s going to be a disappointing series to read.
