In this week’s episode, titled ‘Paradise Lost’, the unit regroup and try and figure out a way to take down Ward, yet again. It’s becoming an every season occurrence where SHIELD has to figure out some kind of way to take Ward down. Obviously he is the show’s villain but it’s a wonder how many times he can get killed before he’s officially done. Fitz and Simmons are the source for information, but there is nothing that they can give out that will help. Daisy and Lincoln try a different tactic by trying to find a device that can help them find Inhumans. It’s an episode of bad decisions, as Coulson’s decision to take Giyera backfires and he ends up taking over the plane.

While Ward uncovers who he is, we also get to see who Malick is. We find out how he started out in Hydra and how him and his brother were recruited by Whitehall. It turns out that while he was growing up, him and his brother were supposed to band together and change Hydra, but instead, Malick screwed his brother over so that he could move up in Hydra. It comes back to bite him in the end as he loses his daughter.
