It is finally here. We finally get a release date for the upcoming four-part event that brings back our beloved Gilmore Girls. In the teaser, which you can see below, we take a stroll through Stars Hollow as we see staples in the town, such as the town center and Luke’s. It ends with a typical conversation between Lorelei (Lauren Graham) and Rory (Alexis Bledel) as they talk about whether or not Amy Schumer would like Lorelei. Through the conversation we conclude that she probably wouldn’t since Amy likes water sports and as we know Lorelei doesn’t like sports. Of any kind.
The original 8 seasons are on Netflix now and you can binge watch them to get ready for the four-part series. With the release date, then you know what your deadline is. We don’t really know what to expect in the four-part series, but we know that we are going to reunite with the characters that we loved from the original seasons. Every major character is coming back to the show but we don’t know to what capacity. What we do know is that, while she won’t openly admit it, Amy Sherman-Palladino is going to correct the disaster that was the final season as we get back to the story that we fell in love with. The biggest questions that we are looking forward to getting answers to are who Rory chooses? Are Lorelei and Luke still together? How are they going to handle Richard’s (Edward Hermann, who passed away) character? How many references are we going to get from the last 10 years?
Gilmore Girls ran from 2000-2007 and aired 156 episodes. The season was at it’s peak when Amy Sherman-Palladino left the show and quickly went downhill after that.
The four-part series is set to come out November 25th.
