Drew is a divorce lawyer that deals with failed marriages every single day. He has seen first hand how ugly people can be and how they can turn on each other no matter how much they loved each other when they started the relationship.

Enter Emerie.

She is a marriage counselor who thinks that marriages can be saved if you give it time and effort. They are complete opposites and argue at every turn, but with that arguing comes passion that ignites the pages.

The meet by chance and for me it wasn’t really the best way for them to meet. And then the circumstances that follow also seem a little ‘too’ much for my taste. But I let it go, because once they meet and start their relationship, I couldn’t put the book down. I forgot about how I didn’t like the beginning because the middle and the end were amazing.

There is more to the story then just Emerie and Drew falling in love as we see what really caused Drew to hate love and relationships. And it only gets crazier as the story progresses. I won’t reveal any of that stuff (even though you might be able to guess as you read the book). I loved seeing Drew adjust to the changes that Emerie was making in his life and prove to her that she is worth loving.

Emerie has done something that we may have done in the past and make a bad, big decision based on the fact that we liked someone. She is strung along but some jerk named Baldwin (even his name is jerky) and she thinks that he is what is best for her. That is until Drew shows her what real love is. What real passion is.

The love scenes between the two of them are H-O-T! and will have you blushing as you read them. Vi Keeland doesn’t hold anything back as she shows the passion and lust explode on the page. There were times that I was so enraptured by the words that I was reading, that I lost track of time and almost was late to appointments.

This book is a must read!
