Cooper moves on from his heartbreak in ‘Torrid Little Affair’ by Kendall Ryan

TLA AmazonThe best way to get over someone is to get under someone else. And I have the perfect candidate all picked out.

My new assistant is tempting beyond belief with her curvy body and take-no-shit attitude. All those luscious curves, and a juicy ass I’m already in love with. God, the things that I would do to that ass…

But it’s the haunted look in her eyes that speaks to me. Like she’s taken just as much shit in her past as I have—maybe more. We both deserve a little fun.

Love can’t fix everything. Mind-blowing sex and a few killer orgasms, on the other hand?

I have a feeling those might do the trick.

Cooper is still licking his wounds from losing the woman that he loves to his brother. And what better way to get over someone is to get under someone else. And he thinks he found the solution with his new secretary Corinne. She catches his eye the second that he sees her and he knows that she could be the one to take his mind off things.

I love watching the back and forth between Corinne and Cooper. The best romance stories are ones that you can relate to on some level. We all have that idea of a perfect relationship (whether its the one we are currently in or the one we want to be in).

Like I have felt for a few of Kendall Ryan’s books, I wish that we had more development for the couple. We have seen Cooper and from the previous book but we didn’t get as much as I would have liked to have seen from Corinne. We get some layers but I really would have liked to have seen more of a dynamic for her. It would have made her more relatable.

Overall, it’s the love and romance scenes that I love. It’s steamy and hot and definitely a book that can’t be read in public. You will be fanning yourself to keep the blush away.
