I was looking for a fighting/MMA/boxing book and stumbled upon this story on Kindle Unlimited. It had good reviews on Goodreads so I thought I’d give it a try. I will say that I don’t regret reading it, but I won’t likely be re-reading it.

The story centers on three boys: Cain, Ivan, and Knox. They all had hard lives and are trying to survive into adulthood. Cain is up first and has the hardest time because he is the oldest and also he is love with a girl that is off limits. Gabby knows what she wants, and that is Cain and she is willing to do anything to get him to admit his feelings for her.

The pace of the story was way too fast. There were times that the story went in so many different directions that it was hard to keep track of what was going on. Especially when it came to the mafia angle that the author was working.

The best part that kept me intrigued was the romance part. The scenes were red-hot and definitely worth reading the story. It’s a quick story that can likely be read in a few sittings. This book is part of a series that will involve the other two boys but the story does not end with a cliffhanger.

The story is available on Kindle Unlimited right now.
