Review

These Wrights, I’m telling you. I don’t know where to begin with this story. We already got a preface for this one in the previous books. We know that Sutton has a son and her husband’s life was cut short. We know that the family had their issues with Maverick, but overall they supported their relationship because he made her happy.

This book focuses on what it’s like to lose someone and try to move on from the heartache. I don’t know what it’s like to lose someone, especially the way that she did. And more so I love how David gave her the space for her to figure it out. Sutton is very confused about her feelings for David and I really loved reading about her journey to try and move on from him and how hard it is not to compare David to Maverick.

David seems a little too good to be true. He not only gives her time and space that she needs to get over Maverick, but he does so in a way that he’s not forcing her to do something she is not ready for. There were hints in other books that he was interested in her so like there was some foreshadowing. But I think that he is a good person for Sutton and Jason. He is exactly what she needs because he has patience to help her to figure out what to do.

This series is quickly becoming one of my favorite series, not just from Linde, but of all time. She is able to write characters that you can become attached to and want to have successful lives. Like in this story, we still get to see them getting what they want in life. I am over here rooting for them because as much as I hate it, I need to see them all get their HEA.

Unlike the other Wright books, this one is part of a duet. There is a big cliffhanger so be warned for that. But thankfully Linde is not going to make us wait too long for the 2nd part of the story to come out. And trust me, you are going to want to read the second part of the book. The first one ends in a doozy.
