“K. Bromberg always delivers intelligently written, emotionally intense, sensual romance . . .”

USA Today

this short jump back into the Everyday Heroes, we meet up with Desi and Reznor. Reznor is in need of a break after one of his missions goes sideways. Desi is also looking to try and move on from a horrid tale from her past.

They both have things to try and work through. I enjoyed reading the struggle between Reznor and Desi as they try and wade through the waters. Reznor knows that there is more to their relationship then the physical and I love that he forces his way into her life. I am a sucker for a good alpha male story and Reznor does not disappoint. What makes me like Reznor more is the fact that Desi does not back down from Reznor and gives him a run for his money.

The conflict is a bit underwhelming. I had been hoping for more especially how crazy the last few books were. I think what hurt this story is the fact that it was such a short book. I think with a full length novel it could have been developed more.

About K Bromberg:

New York Times bestselling author K. Bromberg writes contemporary novels that contain a mixture of sweet, emotional, a whole lot of sexy, and a little bit of real. She likes to write strong heroines, and damaged heroes who we love to hate and hate to love.

She’s a mixture of most of her female characters: sassy, intelligent, stubborn, reserved, outgoing, driven, emotional, strong, and wears her heart on her sleeve. All of which she displays daily with her husband and three children where they live in Southern California.

On a whim, K. Bromberg decided to try her hand at this writing thing. Since then she has written The Driven Series (Driven, Fueled, Crashed, Raced, Aced), the standalone Driven Novels (Slow Burn, Sweet Ache, Hard Beat, and Down Shift), and a novella (UnRaveled).
