Review
In this latest book December takes center stage as she has to juggle being a girlfriend to Gareth and making sure not to step on any toes with the people in his family. Can she handle his ex?
One of the reasons why I like this series is that Reynolds focuses a lot of attention on the romance scenes and sprinkles a decent story in there as well. With this book, we get more story then romance. There is a lot of build up with December and Gareth that it takes about 50% of the book before they finally get together.
Since there was more of a story focus in this one, I would have liked a bigger BOOM moment at the end. There was one that came out of left field because I was expecting something completely different. Some may find this a good thing, but for me, it just was very confusing.
The reason I gave the book 4 stars instead of 3 stars is because I really liked the couple as a couple. They were very sweet and cute and since reading about them together made me laugh/smile I couldn’t give the book a 3 star. But reading this, you need to possible lower standards in comparison to the other books in the series.
