One of the best mods I had done was the bottom out mod. Wfight the LSC completely in resulted in a bike that felt like a portly machines rig rather than a mm travel all-mountain bike, but the other side to that extreme was an overly rough ride that transmitted too much feedback through the bike. Ok, then your bikes that are on this website look like they mostly had new parts. Negligible weight savings being the only benefit doesn't warrant using air over coil.

The Twin Tube layout means that some damper adjustments that would require a more traditional shock to be disassembled and re-shimmed can be performed on the Double Barrel by simply turning one of the external adjusters to attain similar results. I have the ccdba-cs, but it's kind of overkill for everyday. One of the unique things about Cane Creek's DB Inline is that it allows the independent external tuning of high and low-speed rebound and compression. With the release of the new XV can I'm contemplating trying it with the stock link.

  • Most suspension, like ohlins, tries to get away with as little compression as possible and uses hard springs to resist motion as necessary, and typically need lots of rebound damping. Does all of the above mean that the DBair's suggested settings are the best for you? Setup is everything, someone who doesn't know what they are doing can make the best parts work terribly. Because the dhx 5 is poo. If it gives the same performance and saves weight, that would be sweet. Demo bike or not.
