Book review – ‘The Evermore of Callie and Kayden’ by Jessica Sorensen: Bring us back to Callie and Kayden as they fight for their HEA

Format: e-book, paperback
Format read: e-book arc
Series: book 8 of Coincidence series
Rating: 18+ sexual content, language
Genre: Contempory Romance
Goodreads page:

I don’t know about any of you but I was beyond excited when I saw that Jessica Sorensen decided to do a new novella series for the couple. I missed them so much and I love that we get to see what happened to the couple after the end of the last series. They have been through so much in the last three books that I want to make sure that they turned out ok.

In this book Callie is trying to make a name for herself in the writing world but the job that she gets is not what she expected and know she is knee deep in a dangerous world. The question will be how far will she go for the job before it become to much.

And Kayden. This boy has been through so much and the hits just keep coming. Once again he is pulled in to another drama of his family and he doesn’t know what to make of it. There is a big cliffhanger at the end and I can’t wait to see where she takes us next.

Book review: “Unbeautiful” by Jessica Sorensen – quick read with a twist ending

Format: ebook
Series: book 1 of the Unbeautiful series
Rating: 16+ for language, sensual content, dark themes
Genre: New Adult
Goodreads page:

In this spin-off series of the Coincidence series, we follow Ryler and Emery who come together by outside circumstances and are connected in more ways then they think.

This is a short read but it is one that you should get into. Right off the bat there is a suspense aspect of the book that makes you wonder what’s going to happen. Emery has something going on with her that makes her take a pink pill. We don’t know what it does or why she has to take it but considering her controlling parents, you know it can’t be good.

Ryler has a rough go of it at with his foster parents from the past and it resulted in him losing his voice. We don’t know how it happened, but you know it’s something bad. He looks for that fresh start but he soon finds out that he is in deeper then he might be able to handle.

When they meet, there is that instant connection but outside forces might make them having a relationship difficult, especially since Emery’s parents are forcing her into a relationship with a guy named Evan. Emery is struggling to find the answers to her questions but is afraid to ask the questions.

While it may be a short read, it is a very intriguing read. We do get glimpses of Violet and Luke and it makes you wonder if we will see Callie and Kayden. While Ryler and Emery have a connection it doesn’t mean that they will be able to be together.

Three new Jessica Sorensen books available for pre-order

Yesterday, Jessica Sorensen’s new book, Sins and Secrets, went live along with the look at the cover and the synopsis of the story. Both can be seen below.

Lies. Betrayal. A double life.

Lola Anders isn’t who she seems. Two years ago she ran away from a dangerous life she’d been living since she way born in order to stay alive. She changed her name and reinvented herself into a good girl… at least part of the time anyway. A secretary by day and an escort by night, Lola lives a double life in order to maintain balance and survive. And things are going well, until a ghost from her past shows up out of nowhere.

Sexy and dangerous Layton Everett enters Lola’s life again without warning. Not only does Layton know who Lola really is but he also used to work for her family’s sworn enemy . Lola worries he’s shown up to finish the hit put on her two years ago, so she tries to stay away from him, but it’s difficult when he seems to be everywhere. Plus, she’s attracted to him more than she likes to admit.

The closer Lola gets to Layton, the more her life gets turned upside. She ends up getting caught up in Layton’s dangerous world and ultimately the life she ran away from catches up with her again.

**Mature Content Warning** 17+ for language and sexual content.

The book currently doesn’t have a Goodreads page, but it should be up sometime soon.

The book is currently only .99 cents on Amazon.

Sins and Secrets is the first book in the Sins series and is set to come out June 27th.

The second book that went live is The Probability of Violet and Luke. This book is technically the 4th book in the Coincidence series, but the second involving Violet and Luke. The official description has yet to be released, but below is what we have so far.

Luke Price and Violet Hayes haven’t seen each other in a month, not since they found out about Luke’s mother being involved in Violet’s parent’s murders. But when Luke gets into some gambling trouble, the only person he can turn to for help is Violet.

Violet is torn on whether she should help Luke, especially because she has her own problems to worry about. But it’s hard to say no to the only person she’s ever had feelings for.

The book is currently only available for Amazon and is $4.99 at the moment. This is subject to change.

The Probability of Violet and Luke is set to come out May 15th.

The last book that went live for Sorensen is called Unraveling You. This is probably the most interesting story that she is releasing. It’s a stand-alone novel but involves two characters from Lila/Ethan’s son and Ella/Micha’s daughter from The Secret series. It’s not officially a part of that series, but it can be argued that it is.

The official synopsis has not been released, but this is what we got so far.

Ayden Gregory and Lyric Scott have been best friends since they’ve been born. They’ve always been there for each other, even when life gets hard. But when their on the road touring with their band, the line between their friendship gets blurry…

**Official blurb coming soon**

**A New Adult novel about Ella and Micha’s daughter and Lila and Ethan’s son from The Secret Series. However, this book can be read as a standalone.**

**Mature Content Warning** 17+ for language and sexual content.**
