In the first book of this series, we follow Boone Thrasher (who we met in the Dirty Billionaire series) as he tries to recover from an embracing break up. When he meets Ripley, he sees how wrong he was before and how right it can be.
Ripley has enough on her plate and adding a romance with a rock star is not something she needs. She is struggling to keep her bar a float while keeping her sanity despite her family.
The story does have that element of ‘wow he moved on quickly and it’s not believable’ but hey it’s a book meant to be enjoyed. And you will enjoy this book. Boone is a rock star in a lot of ways, but in the ways that matter he still had that southern hospitality. I really enjoyed him as a character and his relationship with Ripley.
There is quite a bit of drama for Ripley and I don’t know how she does it. But despite all the drama, March doesn’t overwhelm you with it and does slow down or confuse the story at all.
About the Author
A New York Times, #1 Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author of over twenty novels, Meghan March has been known to wear camo face paint and tromp around in woods wearing mud-covered boots, all while sporting a perfect manicure. She’s also impulsive, easily entertained, and absolutely unapologetic about the fact that she loves to read and write smut. Her past lives include slinging auto parts, selling lingerie, making custom jewelry, and practicing corporate law. Writing books about dirty talking alpha males and the strong, sassy women who bring them to their knees is by far the most fabulous job she’s ever had.
