Combust, an all new sexy and emotional standalone by K. Bromberg is NOW AVAILABLE!

From New York Times Bestselling author, K. Bromberg, comes the second standalone book in the Everyday Heroes series. Just how hot will firefighter Grady Malone turn up the heat?

Songwriter Dylan McCoy has been burned.

By her boyfriend she found in her bed . . . with someone else.

By the contract she signed that obligates her to work with him until the songs for his new album are complete.

By her agent when she asked Dylan to keep their breakup on the down-low.

When she finds herself in Sunnyville, she refuses to let her new roommate burn her too. Still . . . a rebound has never looked so good.

That’s her first thought when she sees firefighter Grady Malone.
Sexy. Charismatic. Unapologetic. He’s a man who carries his own scars—the ones on his back, the survivor’s guilt on his soul, and the fear in his heart.

When an unexpected visitor puts their roommate status to the test, will their undeniable attraction burn out, or will they both take a chance and play with fire?

Review

The firefighter family life is not an easy one to live. Whether you be the fighter or the family. This story shows the struggle of both sides of the coin and how real the life is. For me, it was a tragic story because we see how losing someone can leave not only the physical scars that everyone can see, but the ones that haunt us even years later.

Grady is the middle of the Malone boys but he may be the most stubborn. I always find it rather annoying when the guy is like ‘I love you but I don’t deserve you’, but in this story I found it endearing. Could it be because fireman are just automatically hotter than any other occupation out there? Perhaps, but also Grady has his reasons that I can understand.

I like it when an author tries to include a female lead with some body issues, because lets be honest, what woman doesn’t. K. Bromberg touches on the insecurities that females have with their bodies with Dylan. She has body issues that don’t really deal with anything to much from her past, but more because of the life of living in Hollywood.

While I am a sucker for when the male is a fireman, there were parts of this story that I wish were a little different. For example, we see a little bit about her family, but we don’t go in to a whole lot of detail. I would have liked to have seen more from where she came from.

While this may not be my favorite book from Bromberg, it was a great addition to the series. I am excited to see where the next book takes us because Grayson shows more of his true colors in this book and he is HOT.

EXCERPT

Preoccupied with a text on my phone from my agent, I walk into the kitchen and suck in a breath when I come face to back with Grady. He’s standing with his hand on the refrigerator door, head leaned inside, and his back fully exposed to me. It’s broad and strong and scarred immeasurably.

I stare.

I can’t help it. The marks are a dizzying array of dark and light and ridged and smooth. And they’re undeniably burns. Goosebumps chase over my skin as I imagine the pain he must have endured when he got those. I think of his habit of wearing unbuttoned shirts but never going shirtless and the hint of scars just visible above his collar that I never could have imagined led to this roadmap to hell on his back.

A part of me instinctively wants to reach out to touch them, bring some kind of comfort. It sounds ridiculous, even to me, but that doesn’t abate the urge.

“Not pretty, huh? Get a good look while you can.” His voice is gruff as his spine stiffens and body stills, emotion woven through the words.

“Thank God not all of you is pretty. I was beginning to feel majorly insecure having to live with perfection like you,” I say off the cuff, trying to make this situation less awkward. My attempt to settle the sudden tension sparking in the air around us.

“Perfection?” he asks as he turns to face me with a smile that masks the emotion swirling in his eyes.

“Yeah. You have scars. I have mermaid thighs.”

“Mermaid thighs?” He laughs. “What in the world are you talking about?”

“Thighs that touch from the top all the way to my knees.” I shrug as if it doesn’t bug me, as if I’m not highlighting one of the insults Tara threw at me. It’s a whole lot easier to make fun of myself so long as it puts him at ease.

“Do you ever give yourself a break?”

Do you?” I ask the question, sparking a silent battle of wills as we stare at each other and wonder what to say next about the other’s insecurities. Coming up empty, I shift gears. “I think there is some type of rule about how many abs are fair for a guy to have when the rest of us are just struggling to find one of them.”

His smile rings more genuine as he steps toward me, and I step back, my hips leaning against the counter now.

“Is that so?” His voice lowers as his eyes flick to my lips and then back up. “I’m sure you have some under your shirt there.”

Why does the simple action make it seem so hard to swallow?

He takes another step.

“What are you building outside?”

“A playroom.”

A nervous chuckle falls from my lips as I think of all of the versions of playrooms I’ve read about in my romance books. My cheeks stain red as I imagine Grady with a flogger in one hand standing beside a St. Andrew’s Cross.

“A playroom?”

“Yeah.” He takes a step closer so we’re breathing the same air, his voice husky enough to cause every part of my body to grow alert. “A playroom. You know . . . a pool table. Foosball. A real man cave.”

I exhale a shaky sigh, suddenly more than aware that he’s so close, shirtless, sweaty, and smelling like sun and soap mixed together. But it’s his eyes that make my thoughts falter. There’s an intensity to them I don’t expect from the perpetually cheerful Grady Malone.

“Ah, that kind of playroom . . .” But my words trail off as he steps even closer and braces his hands on the counter on either side of me. I can hear his intake of breath. The music floating in from outside. The pound of my pulse in my ears.

“Hey, Dyl?”

“Yes?” Our eyes hold, my lips fall lax.

“I need you to open up.”

What?” I question as his hand brushes against my hip and his fingers pull on the drawer handle I’m standing in front of.

“I need the bottle opener. You’re standing in front of the drawer it’s in.” His lips spread into a full-fledged grin as I scramble away from the counter and, of course, run smack dab into the hardness, all six foot plus of him.

And then I rebound off him again in a flustered state that has him laughing and me stuttering. “Sorry. I wasn’t—I didn’t . . .” His arms hold on to my biceps to steady me, which prompts me to look up and meet his eyes.

“We need to stop meeting like this,” he murmurs, the heat of his breath hitting my lips.

“We do.” Brilliant, Dylan. Freaking brilliant response. “I’ve gotta . . . I’ve gotta get back to . . . to writing.”

Grant tries to win back the love he lost in ‘Cuffed’ by K. Bromberg

From the New York Times bestselling author, K. Bromberg, comes a new series about three brothers, the job that calls them, and the women who challenge them.

“I hate you. I never want to see you again.”

Grant Malone is not the reason I moved back to Sunnyville—at least that’s what I tell myself. Yet, those parting words I said to him back in third grade, ring in my ears every time a townsperson brings up one of the Malone boys. I thought time had healed my wounds. I was wrong. Nothing could have prepared me for how I felt when I finally saw him again.

Twenty years does a lot to turn a boy into a man. One who hits all my buttons—sexy, funny, attractive, and a police officer. But Grant is off limits because he knows too much about my past.

But I’m drawn to him. That damn uniform of his doesn’t hurt either. It’ll be my downfall. I know it.
What’s one night of sex going to hurt . . . right?
***

I’ve always loved Emmy Reeves.

That’s why I’m shocked to see her all these years later. The shy girl I once knew is all grown up.

Adventurous and full of life, she owns my heart now, just as much as she did back then. Convincing her of that is a whole different story.

I’ll give her the one night she asks for—like that’s a hardship—but when it comes to letting her walk away after, she has another thing coming. There’s no way in hell I’m letting her go this time without a fight.

Review

So this story comes with a bit of a disclaimer. I had thought that this was gonna be a light hearted comedy romance where the guy meets girl/guy woos girl/they break up/get back together. While that formula holds true, there is definitely some more to the story then I expected. She covers a topic that is sensitive for a lot of people to hear about let alone read in a story. For me, I am thankful that while we read scenes of such subject we don’t actually dive too deep into that pit because then I don’t know if I would be able to read it.

With that in mind, read this book with caution.

Outside of that dark theme, it was a fun story of Grant and Emerson. She holds a grudge against him for 20 years and he’s just like ‘idc I’m gonna make her fall in love with me’. He plays his hot cop status up a notch where Emerson is concerned and certainly don’t hear any complaints from me. He is a man who knows what he wants and is not afraid to make Emerson work for it, because Lord knows she can’t admit she loves him.

I loved reading the transformation that Bromberg has Emerson go through. The coping mechanism that Emerson uses is I’m sure a common one and when she finally lets the pain in, you can feel her desperation to let it go because no one wants those images in their heads. The phrase that Emerson uses from her Mom ‘heads up, wings out’ is a great saying that anyone can relate to because it talks about not letting anything get you down and to go after life with your head held high.

Since this is a start of a series we meet other characters in Grant’s life which means we begin to see their backstories. The next one will be centered around Grant’s best friend Tide and I already know that one is going to rip my heart to shreds. So you know something to look forward to.

There is a HEA for the characters despite it being a series so you don’t have to worry about multiple books being out before reading.

Book review – Hayes and Saylor can have their cake and eat it too in ‘Sweet Cheeks’ by K. Bromberg

Format: e-book, paperback, audiobook
Format read: audiobook
Series: stand-alone
Rating: 18+ sexual content, language
Genre: Contempory Romance
Goodreads page: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/30291914-sweet-cheeks

Hollywood is all glitz and glam and people think that the lime light is where it’s at. That is unless you are living in it. A young man goes to Hollywood to follow his dreams and in doing so, he had to leave behind his first love, Saylor.

I love the story because it’s sweet (almost sweet enough to give you a cavity) but it’s a struggle of learning whether or not to give someone who broke your heart a second chance. Hayes wants a second chance at the girl who got away and who he hasn’t been able to let go. He is beyond romantic and will make you swoon (especially at the part of the story when he tries to win her over).

I am a huge fan of Sebastian York when he does audiobooks. At first, I had a hard time differentiating him from the characters that he’s done over a few different audiobooks. But after the third book of his narration, I found that I like him very much. He has a very masculine, deep, raspy voice and I love it. It’s very intoxicating. He gives the characters he’s reading for a masculine feeling and who doesn’t want a voice like that for a male lead in a romance novel.

The story does have a HEA and it is a very sweet story. There isn’t a whole lot of drama (except for that Hollywood drama that you can’t avoid) and the headlines certainly add for a juicy story. But Hayes and Saylor do what they need to do to make it work. Who says you can’t have your cake and eat it too?

REVIEW

The stakes are higher in this one. Easton’s life, both professionally and personal, are on the line as he thinks that the woman that he loves betrayed him and led to his getting traded. But there is more to the story then he knows, but will that be enough for him?

I absolutely love the writing from K. Bromberg. She can write carefree, funny parts and then be able to break your heart with the next page. This book is no different. You get the fun and carefree life that Easton has with his baseball friends and with Scout but then we find out that there is more to the beloved Easton.

The relationship between Easton and Scout is so pure and perfection. They don’t cut into each other and only build each other up. Scout is exactly the person that Easton needs because she doesn’t let him give up on himself and pushes him to not only the player but the man that he can be. I loved watching their back and forth because she doesn’t take any of it from him, especially when he needs it the most.

The steamy parts only get better with this book. You thought that it couldn’t get any better then that pen scene, well you would be wrong. Wait until you get to the picnic scene in this one. I loved she can keep things simple but yet give you exactly what you need and what you want.

And the twist in this book? Holy cow. You will not see it coming. I was completely taken off guard with the twist that happens in this book. Then with the players involved? I even got more angry because they were selfish and didn’t at all think of Easton or the effects on him.

There is no cliffhanger for this book because it does end with HEA. The epilogue is a bit predictable but it is sweet. I kind of wished that there was a bit MORE to it, but I am not disappointed.

Pageflex Persona [document: PRS0000038_00074]Baseball has never been sexier in an all-new novel by New York Times Bestselling Author, K. Bromberg.

Easton Wylder is baseball royalty. The game is his life. His passion. His everything.

So, when an injury threatens to end Easton’s season early, the team calls in renowned physical therapist, Doc Dalton, to oversee his recovery. Except it’s not Doc who greets Easton for his first session, but rather, his daughter, Scout. She may be feisty, athletic, defiant, and gorgeous, but Easton is left questioning whether she has what it takes to help him.

Scout Dalton’s out to prove a female can handle the pressure of running the physical therapy regimen of an MLB club. And that proof comes in the form of getting phenom Easton Wylder back on the field. But getting him healthy means being hands-on.

And with a man as irresistible as Easton, being hands-on can only lead to one thing, trouble. Because the more she touches him, the more she wants him, and she can’t want him. Not when it’s her job to maintain the club’s best interest, in regards to whether he’s ready to play.

But when sparks fly and fine lines are crossed, can they withstand the heat, or is one of them bound to get burned?
