In the final book of the duet, Boone has got his hands full with the police and Ripley has to decide if she is going to stay for the long haul or let him go?
The first book ended with a bit of a cliffhanger so I was expecting this big opening. There was a little bit of a twist, but it was semi-predictable. Then the rest of the book kind of fared in the same way. Ripley wanting to let Boone go because she thinks that he deserves better and then Boone proving her wrong.
At this point it becomes that classic, well more modernized, love story. Boone becomes that Alpha male that we love to see in romance stories, but he’s an old softy at heart. He’s got that Southern charm that will make you swoon every second that it comes out.
The ending though made up for the rest of the book,. There was a bigger twist in the story that made the difference. I liked how March had us looking one way but then pivoted and had a completely different ending.
