Now that we have all read All the Rage by TM Frazier, it’s time to get ready for the next book. And it’s going to star everyone’s favorite man with a bow tie: Preppy Clearwater. Fair warning to those of you who haven’t read all the way through All the Rage yet. If you haven’t then I would hold off reading on because I will have spoilers in this post.
With that said, let’s begin. We will start off with the cover for Preppy. Now, this is not the only good thing to get you through the day, but we also get the blurb for the book. And of course it wouldn’t be Preppy if he wasn’t fashioning one of his famous bowties.
We first met Preppy in King and he instantly became the person that we look to say what we are all thinking in every situation. Then he had to go and get himself killed….or so we thought. It turns out Bear’s father was more of a jerk-off than we thought he was as he kidnapped Preppy and held him in the same jail that he kept his mother in. And like King did at the end of Soulless, we all fell to our knees in relief/disbelief/love when Preppy comes out of the hole.
Here is the official blurb for his book:
Bowtie…’till I DIE.
Samuel Clearwater, A.K.A Preppy, likes bowties, pancakes, suspenders, good friends, good times, good drugs, and a good f*ck.
He’s worked his way out from beneath a hellish childhood and is living the life he’s always imagined for himself. When he meets a girl, a junkie on the verge of ending it all, he’s torn between his feelings for her and the crippling fear that she could be the one to end the life he loves.
Andrea ‘Dre’ Capulet is strung out and tired.
Tired of living for her next fix. Tired of doing things that make her stomach turn. Tired of looking in the mirror at the reflection of the person she’s become. Just when she decides to end it all, she meets a man who will change the course of both their lives forever.
And their deaths.
For most people, death is the end of their story.
For Preppy and Dre, death was only the beginning.
The Life and Death of Samuel Clearwater Part 1 (best news because this means that there will be a part 2) will show that anyone can find love, even someone like Preppy who has become the mayor of Hell a few times. We get to see the female version of him as she gets off one addiction to get addicted to another one because fans of Frazierland know that Preppy is an addiction. And oh what a sweet addiction he is.
While it’s not necessary to read the other books that TM Frazier wrote, it’s HIGHLY recommended. He makes appearances in King and Lawless books which include insight to how Preppy ticks.
What do you think of the cover?
