The first ‘The Divergent Series: Allegiant’ trailer has been released

For the past week or so, Summit has been teasing fans that the first official look for the upcoming movie The Divergent Series: Allegiant will be released. It has been released today through the movie’s YouTube page. There has been a lot of emphasis on what it’s going to be like ‘over the wall’ and this will likely continue as the movie gets closer.

In the trailer, Tris and Four learn about what is beyond the wall and why they were being watched. They quickly see that there is more to the story then what they thought. Four is embracing the ways and Tris is not as she learns that her world may be destroyed. Never stopping until everyone is safe, she returns back home in hopes to save those she love. If you are a fan of the book, then you know how this plays out in the end. like other series, it’s going to be some time until we get to the finale.

The trailer does show that the movie is going to continue down the path that the first two led down and use a lot of special effects. It worked well in the first one but not the second one. Insurgent only was able to make $130 million at the box office which was $20 million less then the first one. Fans are hoping the movie returns back to what made the books so successful instead of straying and making it too futuristic looking.

A few months ago, Summit announced the official names for the final two movies in an attempt to get away from the ‘part 1’ and ‘part 2’ that the other movies did. They are now going to be known as The Divergent Series: Allegiant and The Divergent Series: Ascendant. The trailer is likely going to be shown on the big screen before Mockingjay pt 2 next week. The Divergent series: Allegiant is expected to come out in March with the final movie coming out in 2017.

‘The Star Squad’ prepare for battle in first ‘Mockingjay pt 2’ clip

mockingjay clip

The first official clip from the upcoming film from Mockingjay pt 2 has been released. This is the same clip that was given in advance to the people who bought their tickets in the first 24 hours of them going on sale. Fandango had set up the launch and sent out the clip. Entertainment Weekly helped with the launch while also releasing twelve stills from the movie that will be featured in this week’s edition of the magazine.

The rest of the world got to see the clip earlier today when it was released on the movie’s YouTube page, along with the social media websites. In the clip, we see Finnick return early from his honeymoon to help Katniss, Gale, and the rest of the rebels prepare for war. They are going to be known as the ‘Star Squad’ which means they will be videotaped and photographed so the other districts can see. Gale of course, is not too happy about it, but accepts his orders.

The final movie is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. It’s expected to break a lot of records and will likely be compared to the Harry Potter series in regards to success. The final movie is set to come out November 20th officially, but many theaters will have either a double feature showing on Thursday night with the final movie being shown at 8PM.

New footage of “Age of Ultron” shown during “Agents of SHIELD”

avengers 2

A new Age of Ultron clip was released during the April 28th episode of Agents of SHIELD.

In the clip, Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) is directing Black Widow (Scarlet Johansson) on the street traffic while Captain America (Chris Evans) fights off Ultron (voiced by James Spader).

In the show, they connected the season’s efforts with the movie. They did this last year with Captain America’s Winter Soldier and Thor: The Dark World. It will probably be something that they do as long as the show airs. It’s not important to watch to get the movie, but it does offer a little background to the movie so if you are a Marvel fan, it’s worth watching the show.

The Avengers Age of Ultron is set to come out Friday but with advanced screening on Thursday. You can buy your tickets now.

First official trailer for “Ant Man” released

ant man

This is the latest Marvel comic book that is coming to the big screen, Ant-Man, has released the first official trailer during the premiere of Agent Carter on ABC.

In the teaser, Hank Pym (Michael Douglass) is talking with Scott Lange (Paul Rudd) and convincing him to be the hero, not only for his daughter, but for the world. And of course we get some action sequences before seeing that they will be embracing Rudd’s sarcastic side.

While it’s unclear what the connection is to the rest of the Marvel universe, you know that there is going to be some kind of connection. We may not see it now (well at least in the trailer) but it wouldn’t be surprising if we find Ant-Man in a future Avengers movie.

Ant-Man stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Hayley Atwell, Judy Greer, and Michael Douglas and is set to come out July 17th.

First official trailer for “Insurgent” released

insurgent 2

Earlier this week, the first official image of the movie Insurgent was released along with a cryptic message. A few days after that, the first 10 seconds were released and really got fans amped up for the full length trailer.

The wait is finally over.

The first full trailer was released and offered a whole mess of new footage from the movie. The trailer offers more information on the story and what we can expect in this movie. We see Jeanine (Kate Winslet) finding the key to saving their civilization and wanting to use Divergents to open the box. She figures out that Tris (Shailene Woodley) is the key to opening that box, but of course, Four (Theo James) doesn’t want to give in to Jeanine without a fight.

You can view it, by going here.

The trailer looks like it might be able to fix what was wrong with the first movie. It appears that while we all love Tris, it was a bit of an overload and it didn’t have enough backstory to explain what is going on. It looks like Kate Winslet will be in a bit more as we find out why she is so gun-ho on taking down all the Divergents.

The trailer offers a lot of action and that is nothing that we didn’t expect. We did get to see where that 3D will be handy, but it still remains to be see if it’s worth the money.

Insurgent stars Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Ansel Elgort, and Kate Winslet and is set to come out March 20, 2015 in 2D and 3D.

First “Pitch Perfect 2” trailer is released

While most sequels generally are greeted initially with excitement and then with anxiety as fans know that the sequel is hardly as good as the first one, this sequel just might be the exception to the rule

The trailer opens up The Bellas singing “Cups” (obviously) and then we get to what the movie is about. Looks like The Bellas and The Treblemakers are going to be joining a world-wide a capella competition and find that they may be in way over their heads.

The movie is going to have pretty much the same cast as the first movie along with some new faces that include Hailee Steinfeld and Katy Sagal. Which is goods news because we all know that Pitch Perfect without Fat Amy is like a burrito without meat.

Pitch Perfect 2 stars Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson and Hailee Steinfeld and will feature the directorial debut of Elizabeth Banks. It is set to come out May 15, 2015.

Peeta sends a message to Katniss in final “Mockingjay” TV spot

There have been quite a few trailers and TV spots that have been coming out for this movie and we as fans have no problem with that at all.

In this latest TV spot, we see the full scene of a worn down Peeta talking to the people of District 13 saying : ‘Think what war could mean. Everyone needs to put down their weapons. How will this end? No one can survive this.” At the end he warns Katniss: “They’re coming, Katniss”.

And coming they are.

Yesterday, the tickets for the first part of the movie went on sale and they are already breaking records saying that Mockingjay beat out Divergent for the most advance ticket sales, breaking that record in just one day. The movie is already expected to have a monster weekend with reports stating it should come in around the $130 million mark.

You can purchase your tickets now, and you probably should since it looks like the movie of the year.

Mockingjay pt 1 is set to come out November 21st.
